Two players on the same team try to collect four of a kind. When one partner succeeds, they give a secret signal. Their partner calls &#8216;Piston!&#8217; If correct before opponents spot anything, the team wins the round.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What You Need<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>One standard deck of 52 playing cards \u2014 select 4 cards per player<\/li><li>Four to eight players in teams of two<\/li><li>No other equipment<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before the Game \u2014 Choose Your Signal<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Teams meet privately and agree on a subtle secret signal \u2014 touching your ear, tapping the table, smoothing your hair, etc. The signal must be something you can do without looking suspicious. Change your signal between rounds.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setup<\/h2>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select sets of four matching cards equal to the number of players. Shuffle them.<\/li><li>Deal 4 cards to each player.<\/li><li>Remaining selected cards go face-down as a central draw pile.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Play<\/h2>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All players simultaneously pass cards face-down to their left \u2014 pick up one, pass one. Always hold 4 cards.<\/li><li>Try to collect four cards of the same rank.<\/li><li>When you have four of a kind, give your partner your secret signal as subtly as possible.<\/li><li>Your PARTNER calls &#8216;Piston!&#8217; If correct, your team wins the round.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blocking<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>If you spot another team&#8217;s signal before their partner calls it, say &#8216;Block Piston!&#8217; and name the team. If you are right, they lose.
